The name Ape Eye Records is inspired by Kafka's short story "A Report to the Academy".

 

Our record label is as independent as can be, we value self-reliance and guerrilla strategies of creating & promoting music. We encourage every member of our team to participate in all aspects of the music process, whether it's mixing or on the ground promotion, in this collaborative process not only do we gain a unified group, each member of our team gets the opportunity to grow and become a  more empowered and independent individual. 

 

In our music, we strive to embody the tension and contrast between the raw, wild and tribal origins of human nature and the civilized, tamed, technological and intellectual aspects of our development.
